Governor Kate Brown announced that she will appoint Leslie G. Bottomly to the Multnomah County Circuit Court. Ms. Bottomly will fill an anticipated vacancy that will be created when Judge Youlee Yim You assumes the position of Magistrate Judge at the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, which, according to an announcement from that court, will occur on March 1.
Ms. Bottomly practices law at Ater Wynne LLP, where she has spent virtually her entire legal career. She advises clients on employment and healthcare compliance, and serves as an arbitrator and mediator to resolve business disputes. In 1994, she worked as an attorney at the Oregon Department of Justice. She graduated from Stanford University in 1985, and from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1990.
Ms. Bottomly’s appointment will be formalized once Judge You resigns her position and begins work at the United States District Court.
