Oregon Women Lawyers provides resources to members interested in judicial positions, including a Road to the Bench handbook, a benefit of membership. When volunteers are available, we offer educational programs, individual applicant counseling and advice, application material reviews, personal advice on handling issues of concern, and practice interviews. OWLS does not endorse candidates for judicial positions, although several other Oregon affinity bar groups do so. OWLS is dedicated to assisting future and current judicial candidates in the application and appointment process as well as increasing decision-makers’ knowledge about the importance of diversity to the judiciary.
