Our membership year runs from October 1 to September 30.
Join nearly 1400 members who support the Oregon Women Lawyers mission to transform the practice of law and ensure justice and equality by advancing women and minorities in the legal profession. OWLS is a great way to develop a network of support and make meaningful connections with other professionals with similar interests. There is a unique camaraderie that can be found in a predominantly female professional organization. OWLS offers the opportunity to meet and connect with colleagues in a variety of ways. OWLS welcomes women, men, lawyers, judges, law students, nonlawyers, and those who live or practice in other states. Law students are eligible for free yearly membership. Anyone who supports the mission of Oregon Women Lawyers is welcome to join. Memberships range from $40 to $500. Regular membership dues are $125. Law students join for free.

This link will take you to our membership renewal portal where you will first update your member information, then you will be taken to a payment page to submit your member dues via credit card or check (electronic). Current OWLS members will find a personalized renewal link in their inbox which saves time by pre-filling out the fields with their existing data. Memberships range from $40 to $500. - Firm Processing: If you are an administrator responsible for renewing the membership for all the members at your firm, contact Cassondra Sumrall (email@example.com for a quick and easy method of renewing all your attorneys at once.
- Paper Form (Snail Mail): Members who are unable to complete the online registration and payment system may use the printed 2019 membership application available here. Instructions are on the form.

Many members consider one of the greatest member benefits to be the opportunity to join the OWLS email listserv, which connects participants to nearly 1000 OWLS members. Credited with helping to create a “culture of support” in the Oregon legal community, the listserv is an excellent forum for referrals, legal questions, and job announcements. You can set the listserv to allow individual messages or a once-a-day digest. Instructions for posting to the listserv and listserv etiquette are available by clicking here. OWLS members, with the exception of student members, are listed in an online directory. The directory is searchable by such fields as areas of practice, foreign language proficiency and law school. Adding a professional .JPG photo to your listing is only $25. Contact Cassondra for more information.
OWLS members receive the AdvanceSheet, the Oregon Women quarterly newsletter. This 16-page publication contains interviews, information on OWLS events and members, book reviews and in-depth articles on topics relevant to women in the legal field. Production of the newsletter is overseen by the AdvanceSheet Committee. OWLS invites businesses to support our work by advertising in the quarterly AdvanceSheet newsletter. Ads reach about 1800 attorneys, judges, and others in the legal community. Legal employers and others use AdvanceSheet advertising to announce new hires, promote services, and build name familiarity. Contract Lawyer Referral Service
For an additional annual fee of $20 (not pro-rated), OWLS members may choose to join the Contract Lawyer Referral Service.
