PORTLAND, Ore. – April 1, 2016 – Portland commercial law firm Greene & Markley, P.C. announced today that Jessica L. McConnell has become a partner with the firm.
McConnell helps businesses and individuals efficiently resolve major tax and financial problems. She concentrates her law practice in federal, state and local tax controversies, including tax audits, offers in compromise and tax collection matters. She also handles a variety of bankruptcy cases, a majority of which involve tax dischargeability issues and general business matters.
McConnell joined Greene & Markley as a paralegal in 2004. She was promoted to associate in 2008, after earning her juris doctor degree and federal tax law certificate from Lewis & Clark Law School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from University of Oregon.
For seven years, McConnell has volunteered at the Oregon State Bar’s pro-bono bankruptcy clinic. She also serves on multiple bar committees and regularly presents at continuing legal education seminars. Most recently, at the OSB Family Law Section 2015 Annual Conference, McConnell and fellow Greene & Markley partner Don Grim presented on the topic, “Addressing Taxes Throughout a Dissolution Case.”
