Join OWLS and the Multnomah County Circuit Court Judges
on Thursday, April 26 at noon for our annual Take Your Kids to Work Day.
This is an opportunity for children and youth ages five and up to learn about the court process and justice system through participating in age-appropriate mock trials assisted by lawyers and judges.
Children 10 and older will meet in courtroom 228, then be dispersed to other Courtrooms.
Children 5 to 9 will meet in courtroom 538, then be dispersed to other Courtrooms.
Participants will be welcomed by the judges, introductions will be made of participating judges and attorneys, then kids will go to their assigned courtrooms to begin mock trials. Be sure to allow plenty of time to go through security.
The judges ask that children in attendance be supervised by an adult and reminded to move quietly through the building, especially when in and near courtrooms.
Children ages 5-18 welcome to come learn about the courts and participate in mock trials.
All are welcome. There is no charge and no need to register.
