Our theme for this year’s program is “The Life Cycle of Rainmaking: How to obtain clients, grow relationships, and keep them coming back for more.”
We are very pleased to welcome our volunteer mentors for this year’s Rainmaking & Career Development Mentoring Circle: They include Kristen Tranetzki of Angeli Unger Law Group, Yoona Park of Stoll Berne, and Robyn Ridler Aoyagi of Tonkon Torp. Participants will be assigned one of these mentors. The mentors will then schedule three meetings for their respective groups between April and June. In addition to your meetings with your assigned mentor, you will attend three “all group” meetings, featuring established rainmakers Carol Pratt of Lee & Hayes, Pilar French of Lane Powell, and Chris Kitchel of Stoel Rives.
We will begin with a kick-off lunch meeting on Thursday, April 13th at Markowitz Herbold from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. The kick-off session will be a large group format that includes all mentors and mentees. At the kick-off meeting, mentors and mentees will have a chance to meet each other and the format and topics of the remaining sessions will be discussed. After the kick-off meeting, we will have two additional all group meetings featuring topics relevant to rainmaking and career development in May and June. Topics will include networking, case selection, generating referrals, the value of extra-curricular commitments, marketing, business plans, finding a niche, and closing the deal with a client, to name a few.
