“The Doctrine of Qualified Immunity: Its Origin and Impacts,” featured nationally renowned and local authorities on the topic of qualified immunity, including keynote speaker, Lauren Bonds, Executive Director of the National Police Accountability Project, introductory remarks by Professor Joanna Schwartz of UCLA School of Law and author of Shielded: How the Police Became Untouchable, and a panel discussion moderated by J. Ashlee Albies and featuring B. Andrew Jones, Deputy County Attorney with Multnomah County Attorney’s Office, Athul Acharya, Executive Director of Public Accountability and Juan Chavez, Director of the Civil Rights Project at Oregon Justice Resource Center.
