How are you doing out there?!
Oregon Women Lawyers is here for you. We are very aware that many of us are overwhelmed right now. Quite a few of us are working from home for the first time (at least on a regular basis), some of us are trying to navigate virtual meetings with clients or appearing before courts remotely, and many of us are dealing with children around the clock or are stuck at home without our usual social contacts! OWLS has been working over the past week to amplify our online event platforms and coming up with ways to facilitate those who need or want to make connections during these trying times.
OWLS is offering to use its Zoom meeting platform to host regular check-in meetings for its members. These meetings are meant to be non-judgmental and confidential to the greatest extent that such a thing is possible in the online world. As of now, the meetings have no specific agenda, but to the extent that there are leaders who are interested in setting up their own regular meetings, for example, to discuss small firm challenges or homeschooling ideas, we can add additional check-in meetings to the calendar. We encourage you to appear via video for more meaningful interaction. Again, this is non-judgmental, so it’s OK if you are dressed casually!
For now, meetings will be held on Tuesdays at noon and Thursday at 4:00 p.m. and you can join by RSVPing to Cassondra who will send a recurring calendar invite to you with a Zoom meeting link. This is meant to be informal, so it’s OK if you can’t make it at the last minute or if you just want to attend one meeting and not all of them.
Additional meetings will be set as interest dictates. We look forward to catching up!
