Are you thinking of starting a family or having a second child and still trying to figure out how to navigate parental leave and achieve that elusive “balance”?
Are you a managing partner who wants to make changes to your parental leave policy?
Then join us on Friday, May 9, from 1:00 until 4:00 at Kell’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, 112 SW Second Avenue in Portland.
We’ll hear from Keith Cunningham-Parmeter, law professor at Willamette, regarding the laws surrounding parental leave and the differences between men and women’s experiences with leave.
Then we will hear how it works in practice from a panel of lawyer-parents, including Ellen Voss, Williams Kastner; Cally Korach, Hart Wagner; Susan Pitchford, Chernoff Vilhauer and Brien Flanagan, Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt.
Carol Bernick, Partner-in-Charge of Davis Wright Tremaine’s Portland office, will speak about how to secure the type of leave that would work best for you and your firm.
Appetizers will be served, as well as coffee and tea. A full no-host bar is also available.
Cost will be $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Application has been made for three hours Oregon MCLE credit. For the registration link, click here.
