For practical skills in de-escalating volatile workplace situations and coping with workplace trauma, and to better understand the ethical complexities involved when those situations are created by clients, potential clients, opposing counsel or other professional contacts, please join us for a free phone-in CLE on Wednesday, July 1 from noon until 1:00 pm. Kyra Hazilla of the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program will guide you through the nuts and bolts of anticipating, reacting to, and recovering from traumatic interactions, while Amber Hollister of the Oregon State Bar will provide crucial information on your ethical obligations to clients and others.
Amber Hollister is Deputy General Counsel for the Oregon State Bar. Ms. Hollister, a member of the OWLS executive committee and has extensive statewide experience presenting on Oregon legal ethics issues.
Kyra Hazilla, of the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program, is an attorney who also holds a Master’s degree in Social Work. She is certified in trauma training and has an extensive background working with violence in the context of social work and law. Application will be made to the Oregon State Bar MCLE Department for .5 ethics credit and .5 practical skills credits.
