Networking With Purpose and Generosity
New OWLS members or current OWLS members who are interested in getting to know other OWLS or volunteer with OWLS are invited to attend. Hear speaker Mary Lago, CFP/CFTA speak on “Networking with Purpose and Generosity.” Some cringe at the word, “networking.” Indeed, lazy networking looks like everyone showing up in a room with the hope that others want to help them build their professional practices by making referrals. However, networking provides an opportunity for generous leaders to share industry knowledge and insight, connect other professionals to useful resources and also expand their own suite of professionals to call upon with questions and opportunities. In this discussion, we will explore how to build grounded and trusted relationships that significantly enhance our ability to serve clients and enjoy a community that brings far more meaning to our life’s work. If you have ever wanted to have or be a mentor, networking is a great place to start.
