The OWLS Community Service Committee Invites You to a CLE Viewing and Pizza Party!
Join us on April 23rd for a lunchtime viewing of Expungement Nuts & Bolts. This is a pre-recorded CLE, and is approved for 1 Oregon Practice and Procedure Credit.
Come by for a casual pizza lunch and learn from 12:00 – 1:30.
The Community Service Committee organizes OWLS members and friends for philanthropic activities and volunteer opportunities and plans to offer future participation in upcoming Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO) criminal record expungement clinics.
This event will be great opportunity to learn about the expungement process, learn about the community service committee, volunteer opportunities with LASO and get a CLE credit and lunch before this year’s April 30th deadline!
Expungement helps reduce barriers to safe housing, employment, and education, which in turn reduces recidivism. Volunteer attorneys at an expungement clinic review the client’s criminal record, determine eligibility for expungement, and, for those eligible, complete the paperwork for the client to file pro se.
The event is free, but we do need you to let us know you are coming. Please fill out the RSVP here to find out more details: OWLS Community Service Committee CLE: Expungement Nuts & Bolts
