Join us in the 5th Floor Jury Assembly Room of the Marion County Courthouse on Thursday, April 13 at noon, for a panel discussion moderated by former Chief Justice Paul DeMuniz on how to properly present your motion or petition to the bench. Panelists will include Presiding Polk County Judge Norm Hill, family law litigator Tammy Dentinger with Garrett Hemann Robertson PC, and Casondra Albrecht who practices workers compensation with the Portland firm Reinisch Wilson Weier PC.
We would like your questions! What have you always wanted to ask the judge assigned to your case? Have you ever wondered how other attorneys come up with their best motions? What are some dos and don’ts you would like to know from veterans of the court? What are some issues of decorum or practice you are worried about?
One CLE credit will be sought. OWLS members $15, nonmembers $20, judicial law clerks and new admittees $10. Free to students and those not seeking CLE credit.
Sack or box lunches welcome.
