OWLS is pleased to announce its partnership with the Oregon State Bar to facilitate matching OWLS mentors and mentees as part of the OSB New Lawyer Mentoring Program. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, or you are a potential mentee interested in an OWLS mentor, please join us Tuesday, September 29 from 12-1 p.m. for a phone-in program entitled “What is this Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Mentoring Program All About?-Key Information for Potential Mentors and Mentees alike.” The Oregon State Bar’s program coordinator will discuss the nuts and bolts of the Program, mentoring requirements, lessons learned, experiences, etc. In addition, Amber Hollister, Deputy General Counsel for the Oregon State Bar, will present on ethical issues in mentoring. We will apply for a .5 Oregon Ethics credit for this program. We will also have a mentor and mentee on hand to provide some insight into their mentoring experience. Please join us as we aim to pair more OWLS members as mentors and mentees.
