The OWLS Community Service Committee is collecting donations and making care kits to benefit Blanchet House. A kit-making party will be held on December 4, 2024, at 5:30-7:30 pm, at Brownstein Rask. Pizza will be provided! Please fill out this form to sign up for the kit-making party — kids are welcome, too!
We are also collecting clothing items for the Blanchet House. Please see below for the care kit supplies needed, and the clothing items accepted.
Donations can be dropped off at any of the following three locations through December 3:
- Harris & Elkins, 4035 SE 52nd Avenue, Portland
- HAN Legal, 485 S. State Street, Lake Oswego
- Brownstein Rask LLP, 1 SW Columbia Street, Suite 900, Portland (donations accepted at this location through Dec. 4)
Care Kit Supplies Needed:
- Bar of soap (travel-sized)
- Band-aids
- Neosporin or antibiotic ointment (travel-sized)
- Wet wipes or bath wipes (travel-sized)
- Cotton swabs
- Lotion (travel-sized)
- Lip balm
- Nail clippers
- New socks (adult-sized)
- New t-shirts (adult-sized, size L most needed)
- Rain poncho
- Wrapped snacks (protein/granola bars, gum, mints, candy, peanut butter crackers)
- Gallon-sized plastic bags
Clothing Drive Items (Adult Men’s/Unisex Only):
- Beanies, hats, warm gloves
- Coats, sweatshirts, and hoodies (no smalls)
- Work pants and jeans (size 30 and up)
- Long and short-sleeve t-shirts (sizes L-3XL)
- Lightweight jackets (no smalls)
- Sweatpants (sizes M-3XL)
- Sleeping bags or blankets (no linens or pillows)
- Backpacks and duffle bags
- New or gently used shoes (no dress shoes)
- Lite-weight ponchos
- Tarps
- Work shoes and boots (size 9 and up)
