Join Lane County Women Lawyers in celebrating the 2024 Chief Justice Martha Walters Award (CJMWA) recipient Shaun McCrea, Executive Director of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. The CJMWA recognizes a Lane County attorney who has demonstrated leadership in the pursuit of equal justice for all. The recipient of this award is a person who has transformed the law through advocacy to create or encourage equal opportunities for individuals facing obstacles to achievement and whose innovative approach to work place culture or mentoring promoted advancement in the legal profession for all. The program includes a slide-show by Judge Jodie Mooney, remarks from Chief Justice Walters, and an interview of Shaun McCrea by Laura Fine, President, Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
The 6th Annual Chief Justice Martha Walters Award will be presented on Friday, November 15, at The Gordon Hotel in Eugene. The 2024 event is being underwritten at the Lady Justice level by Johnson, Johnson, Lucas & Middleton and at the Scales of Justice level by Hershner Hunter, Hutchinson Cox and Watkinson Laird Rubenstein. Tickets are $40 or you can choose to support the event with an Equal Justice ticket for $75 to cover the actual cost for your attendance.
